DESIGNER

BA Architecture and Community Design, minors in Architectural Engineering and Spanish, University of San Francisco

Jasmine’s perception of the built environment is crafted as a pedestrian first, and a designer second. Wearing many hats, she believes it’s important to first understand and empathize with another’s needs before you can hope to address those then through design. What types of spaces make people feel safe? What makes them inspired? A Southern California transplant, Jasmine has traded in palm trees and sunshine for redwoods and fog and has previously worked at WRNS Studio and Sutro Architects before joining Medium Plenty. She supplements her creative drive and the team mindset of architecture, through a burgeoning art practice exploring through a multitude of mediums, but her weapon of choice these days is acrylic paint. Creating art allows Jasmine to explore different aspects of design by trading in site boundaries for a canvas’ edge.

My favorite medium is…the boundless world of color. I view color as a potent language that speaks directly to the soul. With an intuitive understanding of how colors interact, evoke emotions, and shape perceptions, I infuse my architectural designs with a symphony of hues. From subtle, harmonious palettes that imbue tranquility to bold and vibrant combinations that spark joy. I believe that color is not just about aesthetics, but also a powerful tool for creating a sense of identity, belonging, and cultural significance within each project.
